She Hit Pause Studios

She Hit Pause Studios' watercolor transfer images have certainly made me pause and take note. Photographer, Matt Schwartz, takes Polaroid images and then transfers them to watercolor paper. The affect is a ghostly, ethereal image with a grainy quality and softly muted colors.

Schwartz's subjects are often women who are friends of people who have purchased his work. The result is a body of work that's alluring and sexy -- sometimes a little innocently so. Other images from She Hit Pause Studios are nostalgic scenes from Coney Island, a gumball machine, a typewriter and roller skates, to name a few.

She Hit Pause Studios was recently featured in Nylon Magazine, has been featured in Daily Candy and select work from the collection was also previously sold in Anthropologie.
